CHRISTMAS MARKET

Celebrate and Shop Small

How holiday markets support local artisans and strengthen communities.

Colorful lights, warm drinks, festive music and local goods—some of our favorite things about a Christmas market. But events like The Boho Market’s seasonal artisan markets are more than just a fun holiday outing—they also do a world of good for artisans, small businesses and your local community.

In fact, did you know that for every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 stays in your community? That's $25 more than if you spent that same $100 at a national chain—all going into making your community everything you know it can be!

And with more than 50 markets hosted each year, predominantly in the Dallas, Fort Worth, and the surrounding North Texas area, we’ve likely got a market near you!

‘Tis the season for local shopping:

When you shop at seasonal makers markets instead of big retailers, you’re keeping money in your community, supporting your neighborhood creators and participating in a community event that has the power to bring people closer and create memories that last a lifetime. This replaces isolated “add to cart” online shopping with the opportunity to connect with the talented artisans who create and curate your goods.

One-of-a-kind holiday gifts:

Even beyond online shopping, other events like craft fairs, flea markets, swap meets and vendor bazaars often showcase and sell mass-produced items or allow MLM and direct sales—but not us. Each one of our seasonal community markets has strict guidelines and specifications to ensure you’re shopping handmade, sustainable, locally curated and one-of-a-kind gifts. That means every person on your holiday shopping list is an opportunity to support local business and shop unique, curated market finds. (Think: candles, jams, honey, cookies, home decor, hand-carved wooden goods and more!) Plus, shopping at our markets helps prioritize mindful consumption and furthers the movement toward slow fashion, small batch, ethical shopping featuring sustainable goods. That’s something to be proud of.

More than Santa’s workshop:

Our holiday local markets give you the chance to shop small, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Just like your favorite farmers market, our holiday events are often paired with other local festivals, venues and events. This means you can often experience live music, food trucks, ice skating and more at our Christmas artisan and art markets.

No matter who you’re shopping for this year, or if you just want to experience a holiday marketplace unlike any other, The Boho Market’s Christmas community events are fun for date night, girl’s night, family night and everything in between. Plus, you’ll feel good knowing you’re supporting local and small businesses. Follow along our social media and website to find a seasonal neighborhood market near you!
